This Loctite 243 is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. It offers high temperature performance and oil tolerance.

  • Clear all surfaces (external and internal) with a cleaning solvent and allow to dry

  • Cure speed too slow? You need to use appropriate activator and then allow to dry it when needed

  • Shake it before use

  • To prevent the Loctite 243 from clogging in the nozzle, avoid tip and metal surface get in contact during application

  • Store in dry location

    It could be removed with a combination of soaking in a solvent and wire brush.

    Where can you use Loctite 243?


    It works on active metals such as brass or copper as well as on passive substrates ie. stainless steel and plated surfaces. ;It is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids.
